A259 Pevensey to Little Common – overnight closures for resurfacing, drainage repair and vegetation clearance

Monday 18 March 2024 to Friday 5 April 2024

National Highways will be undertaking the above works on the A259 between Little Common and Pevensey roundabout. This will maintain safety and improve the journey for road users, while reducing the need for unplanned closures.

These works will be taking place between Monday 18 March and Friday 5 April 2024.

This work will take place weeknights only, between 8pm and 5am, to limit disruption to the high traffic volumes during the day.

• Closure information

The A259 will be under a full closure in both directions from Pevensey roundabout to Little Common Roundabout for the duration of the works.

During the closures, a signed diversion will be in place going in both directions via the A269, A271 and the A22.

This work is subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress.

• Access

Access to properties and businesses will be maintained and an escort will be provided for properties in the area where we’re working, please approach the closure point. There could be a short wait while we make it safe for you to pass. This is for access only.
