๐งDevonshire Square Toilets UPDATE ๐ง
๐พ Following the handover of Bexhill-on-Sea's toilet facilities from Rother District Council, the Town Council have recognised the urgent need for them to be open, secure and fit for purpose.
๐ค In 2024 a decision was taken by the Town Council to refurbish the toilet block in Devonshire Square, updating its tired and dated interior, and protecting it from further misuse and vandalism.
๐ Focus Washrooms was chosen as the preferred contractor, with their experience of working on other projects in London and other major cities.
๐ The design of the new toilets will incorporate the latest anti-vandal facilities, along with wall and ceiling coverings, bringing the male, female and disabled toilets up to a pleasant standard for use.
๐ผ The toilets will also feature baby changing facilities.
โ As such, the Devonshire Square block will be out of service from Monday, 2nd of June to Friday, 27th of June, unless works meet with unexpected problems.
๐We hope that, once complete, users will treat the complex with respect, and that the dilapidation and vandalism of the block will be a thing of the past.
๐ We will keep you informed of our progress. The nearest alternative toilets are in ESCC Library, Western Road, and a full list of toilet facilities in the town can be found on our website.
